Why the hell isn't like they "have a broad-based coalition?" If they wanted to have this coalition they could, and would!

Nearly three-quarters of the American public and a historic number of Democratic lawmakers support Medicare for All, but the House Democratic leadership is considering using its newly won majority to impose a rule that would "recklessly betray" the grassroots forces that put them in power by making single-payer and other progressive priorities impossible to enact.
According to a list of Democratic proposals obtained by the Washington Post, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)—who is currently fighting back against efforts to prevent her from becoming House Speaker—is pushing for a rule that would "require a three-fifths supermajority to raise individual income taxes on the lowest-earning 80 percent of taxpayers."
In response, MoveOn.org called the proposal "a staggeringly bad idea."
Though the proposed rule is framed as an effort to protect the financial well-being of middle class Americans, Eric Levitz of New York Magazine pointed out that "while progressives are committed to increasing the discretionary income of the bottom 80 percent, that does not necessarily mean keeping their tax rates frozen at historically low levels."
"A bill that required those households to pay a new, smaller monthly sum to the government—so as to fund a single-payer system that would actually reduce their cost of living by delivering radically cheaper healthcare services—could hardly be called regressive," Levitz notes. "And the same can be said for legislation establishing universal child care, paid family leave, or any other program aimed at easing the middle class's financial burdens."
"Equating support for middle-class families—with opposition to increasing their tax rates—is a conservative project, which Democrats have no business advancing," Levitz added. What few people seem to have noticed is that our current system has become a white collar extortion operation, where anyone who wants health care has to pay for a massive for-profit bureaucracy that includes spending an astronomical amount of health care premium dollars on advertising, lobbying, massive CEO salaries, donations to political campaigns, including Pelosi's and Schumer's, and much more waste, which is much higher than the relatively modest tax increase that would come about, one way or another.
They fund media campaigns to deceive us about our own democracy with money that was intended for out health care under the current system and they only cover candidates that the media corporations and Oligarchy support!
Previously when I wrote Is Oligarchy Creating Second Wave Of Fake Progressives? If So Why? I began to have doubts about a growing number of progressives that looked much better than previous candidates appealing to the grassroots, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. At a closer look it turned out that she didn't rise from the Grassroots at all, as many people that didn't look to closely were led to believe, but was previously an intern for Ted Kennedy, and instead of speaking out against wars based on lies, she praised John McCain.
Now as the following article indicates she appears to have been more interested in praising Nancy Pelosi to protesters enabling her to get an enormous amount of media coverage claiming to challenge her than she did actually speaking against her of advancing the causes she claims to defend:

Newly elected Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), joined a protest led by “Justice Democrats” and a student environmental group outside Democratic House Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office Tuesday over the issue of climate change.
The protesters called for Democrats to create a select committee that would be tasked with putting forward a “Green New Deal.” Photos of Ocasio-Cortez speaking to the group of students leading the demonstrations circulated on social media and all the major news outlets.
The most glowing praise for this stunt came from Jacobin magazine, the unofficial mouthpiece of the DSA. In an article by Ben Beckett titled “Coming from inside the House,” Jacobin cites Ocasio-Cortez’s appearance as a prime example of her “bona fides as a qualitatively different type of leftist.”
He writes, “Regardless of the specific demands … Ocasio-Cortez’s willingness to stand with protestors from a little known group inside the head of her own caucus’s office before she is even sworn in indicates that she is prepared not only to buck protocol and take on high-ranking national Democrats, but to use her office as a center of organizing for progressive causes.”
In fact, the event was clearly a calculated political operation by Ocasio-Cortez aimed at solidarizing herself with the Democratic Party establishment and boosting the credentials of Pelosi.
Speaking to a group of reporters covering the protest, Ocasio-Cortez began by burnishing Pelosi’s credentials: “One of the things that I admire so much about Leader Pelosi, is that she comes from a place of activism and organizing and she really appreciates civic engagement.”
She went on to say that should “Leader Pelosi” become the next Speaker of the House, “We need to tell her that we’ve got her back in showing and pursuing the most progressive energy agenda that this country has ever seen.”
Ocasio-Cortez’s adoration of Pelosi did not stop there. Later that day, after the photo-op with the students, Cortez tweeted at Pelosi to thank her. She commended Pelosi’s quick response to the event: “I have spoken with @NancyPelosi about how our commitments to climate change should take shape in the 116th Congress. Her office has responded quickly, and she has recommended the reinstatement of the Select Committee on Climate Change.” Complete article

She seems more concerned about telling Pelosi that they've "got her back" even though Pelosi hasn't been covering the "back" of progressives, including when it comes to the environment, in 2010 apparently her top donor was Occidental Petroleum and more recently the Democratic National Committee Backtracks On Its Ban Of Fossil Fuel Donations 08/10/2018 and neither Pelosi or Ocasio-Cortez are speaking out much about that.
It's not just Ocasio-Cortez that's lining up behind Nancy Pelosi, but most if not all the so-called new progressives, including a couple Muslims, native Americans, African Americans and other minorities that are being portrayed as a major change for the Democratic Party after caving to Wall Street for so long, along with all the older "Progressives" that previously lined up behind Hillary Clinton long before the primaries even began, despite the fact that an enormous percentage of the public didn't like her at all!
They've been doing the same thing to railroad Pelosi to the top of the leadership for years as well, although it wasn't quite as thorough as it was for Clinton during her 2016 election campaign. When she was losing to the Republican's and reporters asked her in front of a large group of female representatives whether it was time to step aside and let a new generation take the lead for the Democrats, which could have meant another woman, all the women representatives giggled and shouted the reporter down saying they were supporting her, even though at that time they had been on a massive losing streak. Now even Maxine Waters is speaking out in her defense, along with other members of the Congressional Black Caucus or Progressive caucus.
Previously when Hillary Clinton was running for president I made an incredibly long list of stories about her epidemic levels of corruption in Why would anyone consider Hillary Clinton if they knew this? at a time when the media was reporting on them one at a time, then quickly forgetting about them, while repeating the propaganda about her being the front runner and having so much support from establishment candidates claiming to be progressive to prop up her inevitability. I haven't saved nearly as many stories about Nancy Pelosi, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. She was previously caught red handed in insider trading making an enormous amount of money for herself, and when called out on it by Steve Kroft, she acted with self-righteous indignation, as if he shouldn't even ask the question; she famously told us that we have to pass the ACA to see what's in it, which of course was a massive disaster, and it didn't turn out to be nearly as affordable as we were led to believe, however the insurance companies who helped write it are making a fortune and donating an enormous amount of the money they collect from premiums to campaigns, spending even more on advertising and other expenses that wouldn't be necessary with Single Payer; and the reason she collects so much money from Wall Street firms, including media, health care, oil companies and many more, is because while the media provides her massive amounts of propaganda, now with the help of a new wave of "progressives" she passes one law after another to benefit them at our expense.
Cokie Roberts recently reminded me that Pelosi was the daughter of a former mayor of Baltimore, and Representative of Maryland, and that she learned at her "father's knee" like many other establishment politicians and media pundits, including Cokie herself, daughter of Linda and Hale Boggs. The media routinely only covers candidates that cater to establishment views, which is why Nancy Pelosi was able to rise to the top in the first place; the reason the political establishment loves her so much is the same reason the grassroots hates, her just like Hillary Clinton, becasue she collects and enormous amount of bribes thinly disguised as campaign contributions, then serves the interests of the donors, not grassroots activists!
Another major major alarm bell about Ocasio-Cortez is that she was able to get such an enormous amount of media coverage after getting the nomination, as a so-called "radical" that was challenging the establishment, mostly positive, although some of it seemed like it might be negative, like when extreme right wingers are outraged by her or when Obama initially declined to endorse her. Ten years ago when Obama was preparing for his presidential run he was also being portrayed as a "radical" that would stand up for the grassroots, now he's well known for being an insider supporting the Wall Street establishment, although many forgot how effectively he was at pretending to rise from the Grassroots.
In Elizabeth Warren Makes Me Scream! I demonstrated how the political establishment created a massive propaganda effort to make her seem like a progressive that rose from the grassroots when she was part of the establishment that she claims to challenge all along. This is part of a pattern of behavior that involves an enormous amount of research on how to manipulate the public and some of it isn't secret at all, as I also pointed out in Frank Luntz confesses to sabotaging democratic process for clients They have an entire industry that studies how to manipulate voters, instead of figuring out what they want and acting on it for the best interest of the majority. The most fundamental method they use is to simply refuse to cover candidates they support, which is easy when they have six oligarchs controlling over ninety percent of the media.
One of the other leading tactics that increased when they elected Barack Obama president is to find candidates from minorities or women to run for office pretending to be progressives. He promised to "put on a comfortable pair of shoes" and join protest standing up for workers rights, keep lobbyists out of his administration, stand up to the Keystone pipe line, and many other things, breaking almost every one of these promises, with the most notable exception being the Keystone pipeline, but he waited until there was an enormous amount of grassroots opposition before postponing part of the decision, letting them build half of it, which would be useless without the other half. This created jokes on social media about them electing a women that represents corporate interests, while pretending to defend grassroots, a gay person, and one minority after another all serving corporate interests. Now we elected a couple more Muslims, Native Americans, African Americans, and other minorities and they're all lining up, no more than two week after the election to defend Nancy Pelosi, instead of the progressive causes they claim to defend!
There's more than enough of these so-called progressives to challenge Pelosi based on her lack of support for Single Payer, or catering to Wall Street including oil companies, pharmaceutical companies, military contractors and many other corp[orations, yet they do the opposite!
But if they're so good at manipulating the majority of the public, how did they let Donald Trump get elected in the first place, assuming they really were rigging it for Clinton? And why would they be so fanatical that they would allow Climate Change and epidemic levels of pollution escalate so much when they have to know that eventually it will destroy themselves as well? I considered these questions along with several other major unsolved mysteries that are almost never even mentioned in the mainstream media, and on the few occasions when they are they provide the same spin. They're able to do this since a small fraction of the public controls over ninety percent of the the media, so some subjects are simply off-limits.
One of the clearest evidence of something extraordinary going on is thousands of years old, massive megaliths that were moved long distances, despite experiments that show that this shouldn't have been possible with ancient technology, in many cases it's difficult if not impossible to replicate these efforts even with modern technology. The highest profile source that routinely addresses this issue, is the History Channel's Ancient Aliens series, which makes so many blunders that few people consider them credible.
However there's more credible research available for those that take the time to look, and don't stick with what mainstream media reports; and some of that includes rapid development of technology that is growing unbelievably fast in the past seventy years escalating even more in the past twenty years. The vast majority of these scientific advancements are reported as isolated incidents, but when you look at enough of them, and compare them to past scientific advancement, it's hard to understand how it's happening so fast, especially when we have a political community that is constantly cutting research funds and suppressing the results, or a media which is only reporting it in a low profile manner. Previous articles of mine have pointed out that Philip Corso, and several other whistle blowers, have claimed that alien technology has been retrieved from the Roswell and other alleged crashes and reverse engineered, or if contact was made they helped develop this modern technology.
If there is something to this then it could explain how this technology might be developed; there are constant reminders of how rapidly technology is being developed including NASA's InSight lander has touched down on Mars 11/27/2018, and many other stories, many of which aren't reported nearly as widely, so many people might not be aware how fast technology is advancing. And the Ancient Aliens hypothesis could also explain how or why so many people might be interested in rigging the political system, although there are still many details that need to be worked out.
Additional evidence that might fill in some of the blanks might include some increasing amount of psychological research into Trump supporters as pointed out in This complete psychological analysis reveals 14 key traits that explain Trump supporters 11/12/2018 Most of the research this article relies on seems to be relatively new, and I'm sure they're always continuing to do more research; however, there is much more available from past research that is often not reported widely in the mainstream media, especially when it's about how they use propaganda to manipulate the public to vote against their own best interests. This article cites two or three dozen sources, or studies to draw it's conclusions, most of which are good, as far as they go; however there are some major and important omissions.
I haven't looked at all their sources but I scanned most of them and few if any discuss early child rearing tactics and how that can be used to teach blind obedience as I explained in Dobson’s Indoctrination Machine which reviews how early child abuse leads to escalating violence later in life. This practice often uses corporal punishment on children to teach them to blindly obey their leaders and believe what they're told, yet most of this research is absent from the Raw Story's article about Trump supporters.
Another major omission is that studying "key traits that explain Trump supporters" could help them either teach the public how to avoid falling for this scam, or use it to develop propaganda tactics to manipulate them in the first place, which is exactly what media pundits like Frank Luntz (confesses to sabotaging democratic process for clients) have been doing for years. In my previous article about Luntz I pointed out that his research was designed to do the same things Donald Trump was doing so his claims that he was shocked by it are highly insincere, to put it mildly. The military and the CIA has been supporting psychological manipulation research for decades going back to the 1950s, at least when they began Project MKUltra which was officially cut back in the sixties and ended in the seventies; however there are many legitimate doubts as to whether they ever ended it and how many additional research projects might have been related. I went into some of this more in Philip Zimbardo, Lucifer Effect, Stanford Prison Experiment and Eli Roth’s Milgram/Obedience experiment much more extensive than most people realize neither of which were officially part of MKULtra, nor were they officially supported by the CIA; however professor Alfred McCoy makes a compelling case why both Stanley Milgram and Irving Janis, who are both dead now, might have been working for the CIA; and as my article about Zimbardo points out, if you use McCoy's case to implicate him with the CIA it's even stronger and additional evidence, (American Psychological Association exposed again), has come out indicating that others implicated with the CIA counted on him to help them manipulate others, and that the rules watering down the ethics guidelines at the American Psychological Association began on his watch as president of the APA.

Aliens? which points out a lot of the advanced technology and how it's also being used to corrupt the political system, even if the Ancient Aliens theory turns out to be false.
No doubt that many people will be skeptical of theories about Ancient Aliens, especially since there's no doubt that all the high profile researchers on both sides make an enormous amount of blunders, which should raise doubts about something, since they could easily fix many of these blunders.
However, there should also be little doubt that it's outrageous to allow a small percentage of the public decide which candidates get the name recognition they need to get elected. And, even without the Ancient Aliens theory there's a consistent pattern of behavior where politicians make one promise after another during the campaign, and once they get elected they cater overwhelmingly to their financial donors, breaking almost every promise they make to the public.
If it doesn't seem obvious to many that the new wave of progressives have already indicated their betrayal after no more than two weeks after the election, with their support for Pelosi it's only because there's an enormous amount of propaganda to confuse the issue in the mainstream media and the most credible research exposing this scam is only available in alternative media outlets!
Chuck Schumer isn't much better than Nancy Pelosi, and many people consider him worse. He cleared the way for many of Trump's judges to get nominated on the fast track without even taking the opportunity to let the public know just how extreme the Judicial system is becoming; and both Pelosi and Schumer, along with the so-called progressives, including Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, and Kamela Harris, passed a massive military bill even bigger than he requested. Despite the loud rhetoric, a close look routinely indicates that he's only doing the same things they want, with much more bluster and outrage.
The only reason Trump was able to get elected in 2016 is because the entire Democratic Party rigged the primaries for an incredibly corrupt candidate and supported Wall Street while pretending to serve the public's interests. Hillary Clinton's recent Call for Europe to Curb Migration and her bad joke about "Yeah, I know they all look alike" along with the fact that the entire Democratic Party continues to bring her back out as a leader of the Party totally denying the fact that she lost because so many people hated her is a major indication that the Democratic Party isn't learning from their mistakes.
Additional evidence of how much both political parties are alike is routinely indicated with their foreign policy which created the border crisis as indicated in Killing Asylum: How U.S. Policy Ravaged Central America 11/28/2018 James Zogby also drew attention to the fact that Pence, Schumer and Pelosi to appear at Israeli American Council conference 11/26/2018, which is an extreme right wing group that Zogby points out is "hardline anti-peace." This is just one of many examples where Pelosi and Schumer are far closer to the right wing than the progressives they often pretend to support. They were only able to regain the house, not the Senate, for the same reasons; and they're showing that they might be willing to do all the same things that enabled Trump to win last time, which is the only way he can get reelected.
Whether it's Ancient Aliens or something else, something insane is going on; and we can't rely on the mainstream media or magical technology from unknown sources to come along and save the day, even when it comes to reversing Climate Change, or especially wit Climate Change!
