Democratic-Socialism is far better than Socialized-Capitalism

I don't know if you noticed, but our fiscal ideology in this country has had characteristics of a cult belief system for decades, if not since the country was formed over two hundred years ago.

We have plenty of propaganda about how everyone can get ahead in our system; however, in practice it's not true; instead what we have is a system that "socializes the risks and privatizes the profits," as some critics like Noam Chomsky say, which is why the establishment tries to portray them as "radicals," hoping no one will notice that they're right.

Implementation of our fiscal policy has been accompanied by massive amounts of propaganda dating back at least to the McCarthy era or decades earlier, often with intimidation and control of the media by only those supporting Capitalism or whichever version of it we've been practicing at any given time. If you go into the history of it, as reported by more reliable historians like Howard Zinn, not by corporate propagandists, it's clear that we once had far more support for Socialism than we do now. A major part of the reason for that is consolidated control of the media over the past several decades, beginning with Reagan and concentrating it in six oligarchs under Clinton.

They now rely on the most fundamental principles of propaganda repeating the same ideologies over and over again so that it seems like it's beyond reproach.

Even the basic definition of Capitalism: "an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market." Goods aren't secured openly on a free market at all; this might have applied in a simpler economic system when it came to some types of good, but now we have an oligarchy system where a small number of corporations control the entire economic system and they often have interlocking boards of directors or common investors enabling them to rig the entire economic system.

The debate between fiscal ideologies has concentrated over whether or not government or the private sector controls the economy, as if the private sector applies to us all and we all have equal opportunities to advance in business, which isn't true at all. When they refer to the "private sector" they mean large corporations controlled by a small percentage of the public; even though both workers and consumers contribute to business with them they have little or no control over decisions on how to run them.

But the current privatization movement is even worse, trying to hand all power over to corporations without any accountability to the public.

There should be no doubt that many things can't be done well by the private sector when they're more concerned about profits and the best interests of shareholders than the best interests of the public, especially when an oligarchy system enables them to collude to avoid competition, often using wink and nod tactics. Furthermore there are also many industries that competition never works to begin with.

Utilities are one obvious example that we used to understand. When they expanded to rural areas the government subsidized them to give them an incentive to invest, since they couldn't get a return otherwise; this guaranteeing them a profit; however, in return they had to agree to reasonable regulation, including price controls that prevented them from gouging consumers.

The "free market" never has worked for utilities, nor can it ever work since it's only practical for one utility company to spend money on infrastructure to run wires for electricity, cable or telephone. This was widely understood when they created it, then it was just propaganda and ideology designed to scam people when they broke up monopolies pretending they can compete, which is what helped bring about the massive Enron scandals and rolling blackouts.

This is just one of many examples to show that we don't have a "free market" at all; and even when it comes to items that could work well in the free market like clothes we still have an oligarchy system. Naomi Klein pointed out in "No Logo" and "The Shock Doctrine" that many allegedly competing brands have often been caught using the same sweat shops to manufacture their goods in countries that have the worst labor laws enabling them to rely on virtual slavery. As I pointed out previously in Meet The American Oligarchs! the largest corporations have been consolidating for decades with little or no enforcement of the antitrust laws that are needed to maintain a "free market."

Even Dwayne Andreas a former Archer Daniels Midland executive admitted it when he was caught saying "The competitor is our friend, and the customer is our enemy," and "There isn't one grain of anything in the world that is sold in a free market. The only place you see a free market is in the speeches of politicians," which was confirmed by research by good reporters like Naomi Klein and occasionally even the mainstream media, although they routinely spin it to try to confuse the public. They even argued that one of the reasons that Trump shouldn't enforce antitrust laws against the AT&T and Time Warner merger, is because they haven’t been enforcing antitrust laws for decades, as if this was a justification, implying the only problem is alleged retaliation against CNN for their criticism of Trump.

As I said our fiscal ideology, and those we're supposed to hate all have the characteristics of a cult, and there appear to be at least three perceived definitions for any given fiscal belief systems, one provided by the supporters of Capitalism or Socialism, the other provided by those opposing one of these system, and a third, or often a fourth and fifth, provided by governments that actually implement them.

Bernie Sanders tweeted a video of Ali Velshi explaining why health care doesn't work in the free market to Jim Jordan as one example of how, even now there are some establishment pundits that support restrictions to extreme versions of Capitalism and recognize its limitation. However I wouldn't be surprised if this was a recent conversion, because there's a massive effort to switch from our current system to a Single Payer system from the grassroots that recognize how much fraud is involved in this system.

An article first published at Big Corporation USA.blogspot about eight years ago went into more detail describing what he says are 75 Ways Socialism Has Improved America 07/05/2011, although I'm not sure I agree with all his points, but many of them are much better than what you'll see in the mainstream media. One of the program he cites as improving our lives is the military, which would be every good at improving our lives by protecting us from foreign threats if it was actually doing what they say it's doing. But we’re constantly being lied to by our leaders.Bernie Sanders tweeted a video of Ali Velshi explaining why health care doesn't work in the free market to Jim Jordan as one example of how, even now there are some establishment pundits that support restrictions to extreme versions of Capitalism and recognize its limitation. One of the program he cites as improving our lives is the military, which would be every good at improving our lives by protecting us from foreign threats if it was actually doing what they say it's doing. But we’re constantly being lied to by our leaders.

The weapons of mass destruction used to justify the war in Iraq didn’t exist; Vietnam was never threatening us, all they wanted to do was choose their own leaders; and our government has been supporting coups for decades in one country after another, including many older ones that they now admit to although they rarely remind us of them like the coups in Iran, Guatemala, and Chile, decades ago, and more recent ones like the one in Honduras that they’re still trying to spin.

I explained more about how they use consolidated control of the media to provide obsession coverage for the lies leading us into war in the previous article “Meet the American Oligarchs,” which also explains how we now have only six corporations controlling over ninety percent of the media and they use this control to ensure that only candidates they support can get the media coverage to develop name recognition needed to win ensuring that the mainstream media now has veto power over which candidates we consider.

The Big Corporations article also explains how many basic functions of our society are run by the government and can’t be handled well by the private sector, including roads, bridges, the Post Office, police and fire departments and many more. It also includes farm subsidies, which it says is necessary to keep them growing food, although it doesn’t cover the full details. In many cases it has provided subsidies, not to grow food but to stop growing it, so they don’t create enormous surpluses.

To understand this you have to understand what happened during World War I followed by the Great Depression and World War II. During World War I the government guaranteed minimum payments for wheat so they could sell them to Britain or provide them free to be paid for later, to win the war. This was done with support of Herbert Hoover as the head of Woodrow Wilson's Food Administration. This lead to a massive increase in production. After the war ended and the great depression made things worse, farms went into debt and to get out of it they tried to grow more food to sell, driving prices down below their costs to make things even worse. Although Herbert Hoover was willing to support minimum prices for food to ship to Europe to support the war effort he wasn't willing to do the same to feed the desperate in this country, after they went along with economic policies that led to the Great Depression.

This is one of many examples during the great depression where the so-called “free market” clearly failed and proved that it required some regulation, which is when they introduced subsidies, at the time that went to small farmers. Supporting the extreme version of "Capitalism" supported by both political parties, although the Democrats occasionally do a better job pretending to regulate it, ignores an enormous amount of history showing that without some reasonable regulation the "free market" doesn't work and has clearly turned into an oligarchy market.

When Roosevelt first implemented his farm subsidies they were designed to bail out working class farmers that were betrayed by economic planers that encouraged them to follow policies that led to their economic problems. While he was in office, there were some efforts by the wealthy to roll back some of his changed; and, after a few of them began succeeding, they cut back on some of the reforms, and things got worse again, spurring them to resume the reforms, or at least try. It wasn't all perfect of course, but he tried different things and stuck with the things that were working.

This is the way Democratic-Socialism is supposed to work.

After the initial reforms, with subsidies that were designed to help family farmers and working class they gradually shifted the policies over the decades, so that they wound up going to large corporations consolidating one industry after another, until Dwayne Andreas accurately said, "The only place you see a free market is in the speeches of politicians." We now ship subsidized cotton half way around the world so oligarchies can take advantage of sweat-shop labor, and use lack of employment here to drive down wages, then ship the clothes made with that cotton back through complicated distribution systems sold to big-box stores that divide up the market.

What we have now isn't remotely Democratic, with a fraction of one percent controlling over ninety percent of the media so they can ensure that only candidates they support get the name recognition they need to win; instead it's a plutocracy and oligarchy! In addition to farm subsidies that are now going to massive corporations, instead of the small farmers they were initially intended to protect there are a complicated system of other subsidies for many corporations, and they're rigging the tax system so they often don't even have to pay any taxes, while making enormous profits.

Then while they benefit from all these subsidies they have the gall to refer to earned benefits like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and unemployment benefits, which are all paid for with payroll taxes as "entitlements," the real entitlements are the corporate subsidies!

Another major problem with a political system that is primarily concerned with fiscal ideology is that social issues routinely take a back seat to profits. they often try to claim that looking to maximize profits for large corporations is the best way to address social problems which isn't even close to the truth, including when it comes to educating the public or reducing crime, especially violence.

One of the most obvious examples should be private prisons which have turned into a disaster. This should be incredibly obvious, since a private prison's goal is to maximize profits, and to do this they need to continue expanding when ever possible. In the justice system, the goal is supposed to be to rehabilitate people so they don't re-offend, which would lead to reduced profits for the private prison industry, so they don't even want to successfully rehabilitate! I went into this more in Crime and war profiteering are excellent for the GDP based economy!! which also points out how corporations increase profits by selling security systems, replacing merchandise that is stolen or destroyed as a result of crime and much more.

If the goal is to improve the quality of life for all then simply increasing profits for corporations or growing the GDP, even when it means increasing epidemic levels of fraud or crime isn't the most effective way to do it, yet that's what our economic system does!

Another major example is the entire insurance industry, not just for health care. Our current system literally gives people an incentive to commit property crime or kill each other for insurance and many people do just that as I pointed out in Insurance Executives Profit By Inciting Murder Occasionally Paying Killers and For-Profit Insurance is Government Authorized Crime Syndicate. They claim they're improving service by "competing" or being more "innovative," but insurance is pooled risk, which means that we all put in a modest amount of money into the pool that can be used when one person faces a catastrophe then that person takes out money in the form of a claim; however there are always bureaucratic expenses, which need to be minimized in order to provide everyone with maximum efficiency and give them the best for their money.

But it's impossible to change basic math; and, when they compete, they do so by spending an enormous amount of money on advertising providing deceptive information to convince people they're getting a good deal even when they're not. add to that large profits, CEO salaries and many other expenses that aren't reduced by competition, all taken out of the money collected for premiums and instead of minimizing waste they're maximizing it. Then, in order to protect their profits they have to deny an enormous number of claims, which means that if you Google any major disaster from a year or more, you'll find the insurance companies are being sued, and their legal expenses are enormous!

Where do you think their legal expenses come from?

They come from premiums which they collect from consumers, then in many cases, instead of using that money to pay claims they use it for lawyers to deny them!

And since the insurance industry provides a massive incentive to commit property crime, murder or other kinds of insurance fraud the government has to spend an enormous amount of money on prisons and court costs, while investors make a fortune and policy holders rarely, if ever get what they paid for! This is made even worse thanks to proprietary information laws that make a large portion of their activities secret, so we can't study it and find out how to reduce epidemic levels of fraud.

A single payer system or state safety net with full disclosure laws to minimize fraud can help reduce this, like many European countries already have.

Another of the most effective ways to reduce violence, improve quality of life, and economic opportunities is quality education, which has been a disaster in the private sector, or at least the privatization efforts that have taken place over the last several decades, most notably by increasing reliance on Charter Schools and "School choice." Diane Ravitch has gone into this much more in her Blogposts and books explaining that the modern reform movement has been taken over by corporate interests controlled by billionaires, economists, propagandists and other fiscal ideologists, including many that have been involved in epidemic levels of fraud like Michael Milken who went to jail for two years as the "junk bond king" in the eighties.

Teachers and social advocates have been marginalized in the political debate forced to fight back at local levels while the media and entire political establishment from both political parties. Now the Democrats are outraged that Betsy Devos is pushing massive cuts to public school spending and increasing funds to Charter Schools despite an enormous amount of evidence that they're much less effective and often involved in an enormous amount of fraud. However, even though they weren't quite as obvious they were relentlessly pushing Charter Schools themselves for decades, even long after the evidence to show how bad they were was overwhelming, and only began to change after an enormous amount of grassroots pressure from the local level, despite the fact that the mainstream media did little or nothing to report on how bad it was working.

When Michelle Rhee pushed through disastrous Charter School programs in Washington DC and New Orleans among many other places, leading to cheating scandals, and many other problems and they began fighting back in many of these places the reporting on the problems was kept to a minimum, at least in traditional media, so she was able to go to Tennessee and push the same failed programs; but, fortunately the grassroots and alternative media were able to warn people at the local level and she faced resistance there as well.

Betsy Devos was also criticized for calling for larger class sizes; but, Obama's Secretary of Education wasn't much better, according to Arne Duncan Keeps Trying To Explain Education 12/28/2018 "Duncan is also fond of the notion that class size doesn't matter as much as teacher quality, as if teacher quality isn't affected by class size. A paragraph later Duncan reasserts the importance of the "building meaningful relationships" with students, but he has never seemed to consider how much harder that is to do in a classroom full of thirty or forty or fifty students."

Duncan was also a major supporter of Charter Schools, even after evidence indicated they were failing an apparently saw Hurricane Katrina as a good opportunity to transform their schools into Charters, which he did, but they didn't prove to be successful, as Diane Ravitch points out in many articles.

Cities with the most Charter Schools have also proven to be more violent than those without as many Charter schools as I pointed out in Is Push For Charter Schools Increasing Murder Rates? According to The Poorest, Most Charter-Rich Cities in the U.S. 04/17/2014 the sixteen cities with the most Charter Schools, in addition to being among the poorest cities, all are above average for murder rates (murder rates listed in the first article, not the second); nine of them are between four and ten times the national average murder rates; and the two with the lowest rates are still twenty percent above average.

These cities may also be more violent because poverty correlates with high rates of violence as well; however, adding Charter Schools clearly hasn't made things any better, especially since they have a record of epidemic levels of fraud, often depriving schools of the funds they need to function properly.

Like prisons, or health care and many other industries it should be obvious that the for profit motive doesn't help improve the quality of services, especially in industries where consumers can't benefit from competition or receive accurate information to make their decisions. Despite claims that are repeated over and over again, parents don't always have the choice to put their students in the best schools since there are often long waiting lists, which enables the schools to choose their students instead of the other way around. Diane Ravitch has pointed out that the few Charters that are the most successful are often doing so well because they can choose their own students and often pick the ones from the wealthiest families, increasing education inequality, instead of decreasing it.

No matter what the industry is should be obvious that the more money they pay in enormous CEO salaries or return to investors the less they have to carry out basic functions to serve consumers or students, especially if they're not countable to the public, which privatization of these industries limits.

The function of our current economic system isn't to serve the best interests of the vast majority of the public; instead it's to serve the best interests of the wealthy that control powerful corporations including the media, which limits who you hear from only covering politicians that support their agenda. Bernie Sanders made this point at the town hall Monday when he said:

This claim was reinforced by many sources including Time Magazine almost five years ago when they reported U.S. Health Care Ranked Worst in the Developed World 06/17/2014 Yet the political establishment often continues to argue that other countries are worse, generally without even checking the facts. Both Mich McConnell and John Boehner claimed that the US Has "Best Health System" in the world which many pundits including Samuel Metz from Common Dreams said "Is a Sick Joke" about six years ago. They've tried to avoid obviously flawed claims like that since then but they also avoid discussing the systems in many other countries so they can avoid discussing them at all, since it would remind many people that many countries, often with a combination of Socialism and Capitalism do a much better job serving their public's interests than the United States!

The reason they get away with this is that the media is controlled by six oligarchies and they simply refuse to cover many issues that don't serve their own financial interests. They've been using this consolidated control of the mainstream media to create an enormous number of stereotypes, like that all socialist countries are like the Soviet Union or Venezuela, which Bernie Sanders also corrected when an audience member said, "Hi, Senator Sanders. So my father's family left Soviet Russia in 1979 fleeing from some of the very same socialist policies that you seem eager to implement in this country. So my question is, how do you rectify your notion of democratic socialism with the failures of socialism in nearly every country that has tried it?" and he replied:

The Los Angeles Times corrected this stereotype as well almost a year ago in Democratic socialism has succeeded in many more places than it has failed 08/01/2018 which says "Why do people so often cite the failures of democratic socialism by cherry picking their examples? Why not cite Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Japan, Australia, Italy, Canada, Norway, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Belgium, New Zealand, Austria, Switzerland or the Netherlands — all countries that have successfully achieved a balance between capitalism and socialism?" But the vast majority of the public get their news from television which often doesn't report this kind of fact checking, instead repeating the same propaganda over and over again like the Russia conspiracy theory obsession.

You never hear them say on the mass media that "If we had provided fair coverage to all candidates instead of obsession coverage for a small percentage of those running based on how much money they collect from corporations or how effective they were at providing entertaining demagoguery then there's little or no chance that two people under FBI investigation would get the nominations, virtually guaranteeing there might be justification to impeach them even before we know which one wins."

Or at least I don't remember them ever saying that, if I'm mistaken please let me know.

The morning after this town hall and previous ones Social media was full of Bernie supporters claiming that they rig questions to demonize him, and there's a significant amount of evidence to indicate they're either right or very close to the truth. Tuesday morning, instead of focusing on how he corrected two of these very common misconceptions the media was providing an enormous amount of coverage appealing to people emotions to deny the "Boston Marathon bomber" the right to vote. The person who asked this question also asked "those convicted of sexual assault should have the opportunity to vote for politicians who could have a direct impact on women's rights?"

Bernie stood up for the rights to vote anyway, but many are trying to demonize him for it, without reviewing all the facts, at least not in the mainstream media. For one thing as much as most people hate the Boston Bombers, they were acting as retaliation for bombings of Muslim people around the world and they were almost certainly raised in abusive environments, as most if not all mass murderers were. The vast majority of felons that are being denied the right to vote haven't been convicted of violent offenses, and may also have come from troubled backgrounds. And these tactics are being used primarily to deprive minorities and poor people of the right to vote, which enables wealthy people to continue rigging the economic system in their own favor.

The people that are being denied the right to vote may be less likely to support policies or politicians that make these problems worse. It's not the Democrats that most Felons allegedly are inclined to support that are trying to reduce the rights of victims or sexual assault, including the right to have an abortion in case of pregnancy caused by rape, it's the Republicans!

Once we start taking away rights to vote, where do we stop? Bernie was right on this, and although in the short term I'm not sure everyone will recognize it, especially with demagogues demonizing him, I have little doubt that if people check facts carefully they'll recognize this.

Our extreme version of Socialized-Capitalism isn't designed to benefit all people, it's designed to enrich the wealthy regardless of what it does to the rest of society, whether it means depriving millions of health care, education, driving up prison populations, often with non-violent offenders, but also with people that became more violent as a result of lack of educational or economic opportunities, often combined with abusive environments that might have been prevented with efforts to educate at risk parents, or epidemic levels of destruction of the environment in areas where poor people live.

The countries that are doing the most to save our environment from climate change or other forms of destruction are all partly, if not entirely Socialists.

Most of the ones that are doing the most destruction are Capitalist, and if they have democratic institutions they're not functioning very well if at all.

Democratic Socialism would enable us to sort out which policies are most effective in which situations, not obsessively sticking to a dysfunctional ideology controlled by the wealthy for the short term benefit of the wealthy. Allowing the destruction of the environment may have worked out well for the wealthy since they only allow it in other people's back yards, but if it escalates too much they won't be able to prevent it from destroying their own backyard indefinitely, which might explain why some capitalists like Ali Velshi are now supporting policies that have a fairer balance.

Democratic-Socialist countries in Europe have much lower rates of violence than we do, they've been found to be better countries to raise children, and are happier, than the United states, they have better health care, child care, education, less income inequality, much lower prison populations and much more.

You don't have to be Einstein to figure out that we're being misled by our politicians and the media, or even Jon Stewart!

Joe Biden Really Was Taken Off The Trash Heap

"A lie repeated often enough becomes the truth," or at least it seems to, especially if it's not challenged by others reporting on the truth!

If not for this fundamental principle of propaganda, there's no way Joe Biden would be leading in the polls!

His entire image is based on puff coverage of his career giving the vast majority of the public the wrong impression of him. I knew that his record wasn't nearly as good as the media implies it was, but until I started checking it I didn't realize just how bad it was.

Edit 05/03/2019: I've updated this below adding many more news stories, old and new, that were circulating after he announced his campaign, including information exposing propaganda surrounding his campaign and the so-called surge in the polls according to CNN, which was reported widely, but the details behind the poll indicates that they only polled older people.

It also includes a report that discloses the fact that the Firefighters union that endorsed him as he kicked off his campaign was never put to a vote by the rank and file. While the mainstream media was providing mostly positive propaganda his full record was being exposed on line, and few people can possibly keep track of it all.

It's hard to imagine what they were thinking; can't they come up with a better puppet to pretend to represent the working class?

A major part of the problem is that the vast majority of the public probably gets their information from television, which repeats the propaganda of many candidates over and over again, while only reporting part of the scandals, which is often reported in more detail in either the internet, or print news. For many of us who keep up with alternative media outlets or don't let news articles exposing epidemic levels of fraud by candidates supported by the political establishment fall down the memory hole, it's hard to understand how so many people could possibly like establishment candidates like Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Beto O'Rourke, Hillary Clinton, or many other democrats with close ties to Wall Street that only come up with progressive rhetoric.

But once you consider how they get their news, through television, which is full of hype and distraction, then it's far more understandable.

The political establishment has been studying this for years, which is what many of these polls and focus groups are designed to do; however most of their research is considered "proprietary," which means secrecy about how they study to manipulate voters is protected by law, instead of passing disclosure laws, so the public can learn how they're being manipulated.

Thids problem isn't limited to African Americans, who supposedly support Biden according to polls, but the following article demonstrates a major example:

Will Black Voters Still Love Biden When They Remember Who He Was? 03/12/2019

Joe Biden once called state-mandated school integration “the most racist concept you can come up with,” and Barack Obama “the first sort of mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean.” He was a staunch opponent of “forced busing” in the 1970s, and leading crusader for mass incarceration throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s. Uncle Joe has described African-American felons as “predators” too sociopathic to rehabilitate — and white supremacist senators as his friends.

And, as of this writing, a plurality of black Democrats want him to be their party’s 2020 nominee.

Whether Biden can retain that support, after voters learn more about his problematic past, could very well determine the outcome of the party’s primary race. To explore that question, let’s pick through the former vice-president’s hefty baggage on racial justice — and then, the case for thinking that Obama’s halo will prove to be brighter than the shadow of Biden’s record is dark. Biden helped kill the most effective policy for improving black educational attainment that America has ever known.

Joe Biden was for desegregating America’s schools, until his constituents were against it. When the Delaware Democrat launched his first campaign for the Senate in 1972, the Supreme Court had just ruled that the Constitution required policymakers to pursue “the greatest possible degree of actual desegregation” — and that forcing white students to attend schools in black neighborhoods, and vice versa, was a legitimate means of doing so. Being an enlightened liberal, Biden began his candidacy as an advocate for such policies. He accused Republicans of demagoguing the busing issue, and appealing to white voters’ ugliest instincts.

But as his campaign progressed, and Biden discerned that the arc of history was bending toward white backlash, the young candidate bent with it. He became a caricature of a white northern liberal — arguing that forced busing was appropriate for the South (where segregation was the product of racist laws), but unnecessary for the North (where, Biden pretended, it merely reflected the preferences of the white and black communities). Complete article

Additional sources about his past include Letters from Joe Biden reveal how he sought support of segregationists in fight against busing 04/11/2019 and that Joe Biden once said Democrats needed 'a liberal George Wallace' 02/07/2019, where he said, '"I think the Democratic Party could stand a liberal George Wallace — someone who's not afraid to stand up and offend people, someone who wouldn't pander but would say what the American people know in their gut is right,” Biden told the Philadelphia Enquirer on Oct. 12, 1975, referring to the racist then-Alabama governor. During 1987 fundraising trips across the South for his unsuccessful 1988 presidential bid, he sought to appeal to white voters, telling audiences that he had received an award from Wallace in 1973 and that the segregationist had lauded him as "one of the outstanding young politicians of America."'

This is just a small sample of a long history of flip flopping on many issues throughout his career; however instead of reminding the majority of the public about this the mainstream media has been providing him with an enormous amount of positive propaganda, either about how his son Beau wanted him to run saying he's what the country needed or his folksy speeches appealing to emotions, even saying that he'd like to "beat the hell out of" President Donald Trump if they were in high school.

Unfortunately the mainstream television media is far more concerned with appeals to emotion and coming up with entertainment than fact checking the vast majority of the news. If they had done more fact checking they would have done more than a few brief clips about how "some people might be concerned with his support for the 1994 crime bill without reminding the public about many if any of the details, including the following article by Paste Magazine and the original debate on the Senate floor from late 1993:

Joe Biden's 1993 Crime Bill Speech Is Worse Than You Think 03/08/2019

“We have predators on our streets that society has in fact, in part because of its neglect, created…they are beyond the pale many of those people, beyond the pale. And it's a sad commentary on society. We have no choice but to take them out of society….a cadre of young people, tens of thousands of them, born out of wedlock, without parents, without supervision, without any structure, without any conscience developing because they literally … because they literally have not been socialized, they literally have not had an opportunity….we should focus on them now….if we don't, they will, or a portion of them, will become the predators 15 years from now.”

“The consensus is A), we must take back the streets. It doesn't matter whether or not the person that is accosting your son or daughter or my son or daughter, my wife, your husband, my mother, your parents, it doesn't matter whether or not they were deprived as a youth. It doesn't matter whether or not they had no background that enabled them to become socialized into the fabric of society. It doesn't matter whether or not they're the victims of society. The end result is they're about to knock my mother on the head with a lead pipe, shoot my sister, beat up my wife, take on my sons.” .....

“I don't care why someone is a malefactor in society. I don't care why someone is antisocial. I don't care why they've become a sociopath. We have an obligation to cordon them off from the rest of society.” ......

Joe Biden "Madam president, it's been a real pleasure to work with my friend from Texas. We most of the time are on opposite sides of issues. This time we're on the same side." .....

Biden: He (Bill Clinton) does not view this as a social issue, as opposed to trying to bring peace and security to the streets. As Governor of the state of Arkansas, he presided over, ... the execution of individuals within the state in the death penalty. He supports the death penalty. .....

Phil Gramm "There's only one thing we can do about it, and that is grab them by the throat and not let them go to get a better grip."

Shane Ryan of Paste Magazine "This is the language of demonization, and even without the underlying racial element, it would be offensive to describe Americans this way, and to brush aside the societal conditions that lead to violent crime as though they're irrelevant. But, of course, the racial element is not just present, but profound. It's impossible to read these remarks, complete with dehumanizing rhetoric, without coming to the conclusion that Biden is, in fact, talking about black crime." .....

Shane Ryan "In response to the CNN story, Biden's team noted he was responding to Republicans who were accusing Democrats of being “soft on crime,” but that seems to be part of the problem—if it's true, he let Republicans bully him into demonizing his own constituents and making light of the societal circumstances at the root of the crime. If it's not true, then those words represent his true views, which is even worse." Complete article

Original debate on C-Span with video and transcript 11/18/1993

Joe Biden exaggerates the threat to many of the people that were locked up as a result of this bill, especially the non-violent drug offenders; however there are still many violent offenders that do have to be dealt with, even in those cases he still misrepresents the facts, since it's not his family they're typically coming after, it's the people that live in the poor abandoned cities where the highest crime rates are! He clearly seems to admit that some of the problems are a result of abusive upbringing and that some of the social causes are a result of lack of educational or job opportunities; but instead of trying to improve education, prevent child abuse causing these predators from becoming violent or providing more economic opportunities that will help reduce violence he says repeatedly it "doesn't matter!"

At least it doesn't matter when the people committing these crimes are from poor working class people.

However his record, along with the record of many other wealthy people, including Biden's own family clearly indicates that doesn't apply to them when they get caught with drug crimes or pedophilia among other things.

I went into some of this more in Democrats do a bad job on crime; Republicans and the Media are worse!! which explained how some of the highest murder rates are in states controlled by Republicans, but instead of trying to support policies that the GOP have been pushing contributing to these high crime rates, Democrats like Joe Bide, Bill Clinton and Kamala Harris push "get tough on crime" policies that have proven not to work; I followed this up with Politicians increase crime; Grass roots efforts reduce crime; Politicians steal the credit which shows that when people at the local level learn from the best research, despite lack of reporting on the subject from the mainstream media and help from the political establishment, they do a much better job addressing the social needs of their communities by preventing abuse early, improving educational and economic opportunities etc.

However this get tough on crime talk clearly doesn't apply to his own family or people with political ties to him; his son Robert Hunter Biden received preferential treatment to get fast tracked in a "program that allows civilians with no prior service to receive a limited duty officer's commission after attending a two-week class covering topics such as military history, etiquette, and drill and ceremony, in lieu of boot camp. Because Biden was past the cut-off age for the program, he needed a waiver. Biden received a second waiver because of a past drug-related incident." (Wikipedia) News of his discharge was withheld from the public, until it was leaked.

In 2016 when he was considering running for president, the media provided obsession coverage about how his son Beau, who had died of cancer, wanted him to run for president, without covering an enormous amount of baggage from his political record that had plenty of appeals to emotion; however, even Beau was also involved in the same political favoritism that was routine for his father, getting an enormous amount of credit for prosecuting Earl Bradley which got an enormous amount of media coverage for him at the time; but when it came to prosecuting Robert Richards IV, a DuPont heir, with political ties, he recommended no jail time for raping his own daughter, and the judge justifiable this by saying he would "not fare well" in prison; which is an excuse that Joe Biden, Beau and many other get tough on crime politicians or judges would never take seriously when it comes to working class people, even when being prosecuted for non-violent drug offences, some only for marijuana.

His son Hunter Biden is also part of a "shady private equity firm" with John Kerry's stepson and on the board of a Ukrainian firm that was responsible for $1.8 Billion in missing aid money; and his brother is using his family ties to push charter schools despite their horrendous record.

There should be no doubt that Joe Biden's reputation as a "champion of the working class" is based entirely on propaganda and speeches with emotional appeals, not his policies which aren't much if any better than the Republicans!

Biden has a history of flattering Republicans like George Wallace or Phil Gramm, who wants to "grab them by the throat and not let them go to get a better grip," meaning only the working class, often minorities, not members of the wealthy ruling class, but does nothing to address the concerns of the vast majority of the public, except put on a big show which the media is willing to help with.

And the list of positions that turned out to be disastrous is much longer than that including his vote to support the Iraq war, repeal Glass-Steagall, deny protections for student loans even if they bail out large corporations that crashed the economy, depriving people of protection from corporate price fixing, supporting trade deals that drive down wages, increasing poverty and indirectly contributing to crime, and instead of asking the rich to pay their fair share he called for an increase to the retirement age; although he often does come up with some rhetoric demonizing the rich, he just never follows through with it with action, unless he has no choice due to an enormous amount of political pressure and even then he keeps it to a minimum!

His entire reputation is based on lies, and a minimal amount of fact checking should cause it to fall apart; the only question is will the mainstream media do that minimal amount of fact checking.

If Past is prologue they might very briefly before allowing massive amounts of propaganda to distract the public!

Joe Biden Gets Quick Endorsement From Firefighters Union 04/29/2019 The firefighters union does not determine its candidate of choice by a member vote; as with most other unions, the group’s executive leadership decides on the endorsement and its timing.

This follows a pattern of behavior that began no later than 2016 when a large number of so-called union leaders supported Hillary Clinton, but the rank and file preferred Bernie Sanders. In many cases the leaders responded by declining to put it to a vote for the rank and file and remained neutral. But there were some exceptions on both sides, with some leaders endorsing Hillary despite preference from the workers, and others recognizing the will of the majority and endorsing Bernie.

Pat the Berner "This is absurd. CNN's poll showing a "huge bump" for Biden didn't poll people under 50 (or not enough to factor in). Biden has next to no support under 50 and millennials are the biggest voting bloc in 2020. This is effectively CNN lying to the public. Look at the data yourself:" 04/30/2019

Pat the Berner was right, this is absurd, so absurd it's hard to believe they would do something so obvious; so I had to check for sources before posting it, and it's true regardless of why. Apparently one pundit briefly mentioned this on MSNBC but the vast majority of the mainstream media has been silent on this while the rigging of this poll has gone viral on social media, showing how little credibility CNN has; and other articles raise major doubts about other outlets including MSNBC who's CEO hosted a major fund raiser for Biden on his first day and they've demonstrated obvious bias to anyone paying attention!

CNN Poll April 25, 2019 to April 28, 2019 showing all people polled over 45 or 49 years old, which is where Biden is expected to do much better, while Bernie supporters are much younger, clearly misleading public.

Recent Poll Showing Biden in Lead Confuses and Distorts Support for Bernie Sanders 04/30/2019

.@cnn's presidential "poll" showing @JoeBiden crushing @BernieSanders is a COMPLETE SCAM. N/A is listed for age groups 18-34 and 35-49. N/A means not applicable because statistically not a large enough sample of Dems/Dem-leaning independents for those age groups were polled...1/1 04/30/2019

The following are some additional sources for this article; following the sources I collected with this update there's may be a significant amount of redundancy, perhaps with a few articles repeated from the same source; I'll try to reduce this soon, but it's good to have a consolidated source of many articles to check, although I'm sure there'll be more, some that I may not be able to keep up with:

I checked most of these claims and found them all to be true, with the partial exception of his opposition to the fight for $15, which he never supported until one of his first speeches of the campaign, sounding like obvious pandering now that they've already had so much success at the state level; and it's clear that he needs to at least come up with better rhetoric for the duration of the campaign.

Bernie Sanders supported the fight for $15 from the beginning, and helped rally the public to pressure politicians that clearly didn't want to pass it!

Joe Biden Isn’t the Answer 03/29/2019

A young Joe Biden was reliably anti-abortion, claiming that Roe v. Wade “went too far” and that he did not believe that “a woman has the sole right to say what should happen to her body.” He voted consistently for the Hyde Amendment, the 1976 legislative rider which forbid government-funded insurance programs from paying for abortion, making abortion all but inaccessible to poor people. In 1981, he proposed the “Biden Amendment,” prohibiting foreign aid to be used in any biomedical research related to abortion. The next year, he supported Jesse Helms’s amendment barring foreign NGOs receiving United States aid from using that aid to perform abortion. Biden was one of two Democrats on the Senate Judiciary to vote for the 1982 Hatch Amendment, which would have effectively nullified Roe by turning abortion rights back to federal and state legislatures. At the time, he expressed concern about whether he had “a right to impose” his anti-abortion views on the nation. Then he went ahead and imposed those views anyway.

..... As beneficiary of enormous campaign donations from his home state’s financial behemoth MBNA, in 1999 Biden voted to repeal Glass-Steagall legislation that, since 1933, had separated commercial and investment banking, paving the way for the financial crisis. Biden was one of a handful of Democrats to oppose a measure that would have required credit card companies to warn consumers of the risks of only paying the minimum due on their credit card bills and worked against legislation that would have increased protections for those whose debts mounted thanks to medical bills and for those in the military.

His drug abuse was certainly no surprise to the Navy, which issued him a waiver for a previous drug offense before commissioning him as a public affairs officer at the age of 43. The Navy also bent over backward a second time with an age waiver so he could secure the cushy part-time job.

Is The Pseudo-Revolution Already In Progress?

Like many people I was thrilled to see progressive candidates, mostly women, help the Democrats take back the House, hoping they would bring about reform; however, I've been around long enough to know that when ever this happens they rarely back it up with action. I was a little surprised to see how fast they caved by coming to Nancy Pelosi's defense without getting much if anything.

After getting her their help to become speaker Pelosi did one things after another to sabotage their progressive agenda instead of coming to their defense and at least trying to support part of it! Her aide Told Insurance Executives Not to Worry About "Medicare for All"; she pushed a Tax Rule That Would "Kneecap the Progressive Agenda"; ridiculed the "Green dream or whatever"; said "I can’t say we’re going to take that and pass it," although she was nice enough to say we could discuss it, which will buy her time to bury it without admitting that she's trying to sabotage the progressive agenda; and she Snubbed the progressives by giving them few if any Influential Committee Memberships.

What could they possibly have gotten for their vote for her to become speaker?

It's not hard to figure out what Nancy Pelosi is getting, they're providing her with an enormous amount of propaganda to make her look like a progressive, which the mainstream media and so-called progressives decline to point out that she's betraying them on one issue after another!

That doesn't mean that the Green New Deal or something like it won't go through, or perhaps Single Payer as well, although that may be tougher to push through, for one simple reason; the ruling class isn't suicidal, although it often seems as if they are. They can't possibly be so stupid that they don't realize that environmental destruction won't eventually catch up with them too.

If it was just a handful of right wing fanatics demonizing Climate Change, and many other social issues, including opposition to pollution mainly impacting the poor, wars based on lies, epidemic levels of corporate fraud and much more, then it might be credible; however the entire political establishment has gone insane. Of course Trump is far more absurd, but sometimes I have to wonder if even he can be this stupid. Furthermore, even if he can be this stupid how could the political establishment have possibly let him get elected in the first place?

Can we really be certain this isn't a massive charade, which is clearly what it looks like?

Trump's latest gaffe about wind mills causes cancer is so absurd that it can't do much harm but both political parties are constantly creating fear over one issue after another, almost as if it happens on schedule! Does any one really believe he intended to keep his promise to close the border?

Or that he was going to send tariffs through the roof?

Start a nuclear war with North Korea? Or more other insane things than I can keep track of?

The latest clownish bickering between Steven Mnuchin and Maxine Waters is almost routine, with one absurd argument where neither side is even trying to do a good job representing the public; although, in this case, Maxine Waters appeared far more rational. However if the Democratic Party hadn't rallied behind Hillary Clinton helping to rig the primaries for a candidate that they must have known the majority of the public didn't like, he never would have gotten elected; and she had her turns being irrational, like when she ranted about James Comey for discussing obvious incompetence on Hillary Clinton's part. Ironically, neither James Comey, or anyone else from the political establishment seems overly concerned with some of the biggest frauds committed by either Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump or any of the other high profile politicians, perhaps since the victims of the worst scams aren't their campaign donors.

With all this incredible incompetence it's a wonder our society hasn't collapsed already!

Furthermore, the mainstream media did far more to rig the election for Trump than Russia ever could have, and the evidence for this claim isn't even secret; they're just throwing out one obsession du jour after another to keep us distracted so we don't even think about it. The media and political establishment understand that no one can get elected without name recognition, and no one can get name recognition without media coverage. The mass media is controlled by six oligarchies with a few more billionaires owning other media outlets like the #Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, etc. If these media outlets want to prevent someone they don't like from being elected to higher office they simply refuse to cover them.

Instead they gave obsession coverage to Trump for years, including a reality show that made him famous, and even more obsession coverage during the election season while they refused to cover hundreds more candidates that most people never heard about. Furthermore, they know how to manipulate the public far more effectively than they are doing, without being so obvious.

If they're faking one alleged threat after another they may also be controlling one limited solution after another to keep us confused, and this might explain why so many so-called progressives keep endorsing people like Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and other corporate Democrats. The entire political establishment is made up primarily of people from the same class; but once in a while a rare grassroots candidate manages to get elected, or at least it seems that way. However if the mainstream media really doesn't want them to bring about change they can simply decline to give them the obsession coverage they need to do so, and they routinely do just that.

As I pointed out in Is Oligarchy Creating Second Wave Of Fake Progressives? If So Why? it turns out that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez actually did have ties to the Democratic Party before she won her primary, previously working for Senator Kennedy. Are they faking the threats then faking solutions that only go as far as they want them to go?

But this would have to be for an incredibly big reason, and they would need to be able to keep a lot of people going along with the agenda, otherwise it would be hard to believe such a conspiracy theory; but the official version of truth is almost as insane if not more, assuming you're paying attention.

I can't explain all the details; but if you pay attention to the news you might notice them doing one incredibly stupid thing after another that doesn't make any sense; perhaps, unless it's a massive charade to distract us from another objective, in addition to the incredible amount of greed.

Furthermore if something like this is going on it would require extraordinary evidence to support a theory in order to make it viable; however, that extraordinary evidence might exist, although it may be difficult to tie it to current events without a complicated explanation.

That evidence has existed all along, in the form of ancient megaliths that were moved large distances despite the fact that experiments to replicate these moves with technology allegedly available to these civilizations doesn't even come close to explaining it; although few people even try to connect it to insane current events. The Colossi of Memnon were among the biggest of these ancient megaliths and they weighed seven hundred-twenty tons and were moved over four hundred and twenty miles; experiments to replicate this successfully moved megaliths up to ten tons additional experiments from ten to forty tons only managed to move them very short distances and they cheated to get them on to sledges to try to drag them. They didn't even try to move larger ones; and these experiments had an enormous amount of problems dealing with broken ropes, sledges and other issues; yet ancient civilizations moved thousands of megaliths over fifty tons all around the world and hundreds of them over a hundred tons.

This simply shouldn't be possible!

There are also many other ancient wonders difficult if not impossible to replicate, although most of them aren't quite so straight forward demonstrating that they should be impossible; I went into this more in 107 Wonders of the Ancient World

We can narrow this down to one of two theories; either our early civilization was influenced by some unknown advanced intelligence of some sort, or it wasn't. If it wasn't then there has to be another explanation for how the megaliths were moved, yet the skeptics can't even come close although they've tried dozens of tactics to spin it or distract from unexplained mysteries they don't seem to want people to pay attention to.

If our early development has been influenced by some kind of unknown advanced intelligence; and they haven't maintained an open honest line of communication; then, it virtually guarantees that they have an ulterior motive of some sort. The leading religious theory to explain this is, of course, to attribute it to God; however this is commonly accompanied by a belief in a God that has a higher moral authority and is looking out for the best interest of the human race.

If that were the case then God would have maintained an open honest line of communication from the beginning and done a far better job advising people on how to avoid many disasters that modern scholars can now easily recognize and avoid. When he saw the Crusades, inquisitions, holocaust, etc. he could have communicated and let people know that wasn't what he meant. If it was what he meant there's no way he can be a higher moral authority; at best he gave tacit approval to this by withholding advice that could have avoided these disasters and many more.

Another more modern theory along these lines is the Ancient Aliens theory most famous for the version depicted on the History Channel; however, they make so many blunders that I can't believe they're trying to do a good job, any more than I can believe that politicians from either the Democratic Party or the Republican Party are trying to do a good job addressing the concerns of the vast majority of the public.

However, even though the History Channel has plenty of blunders and can't possibly be completely right, at least it tries to explain how the ancient megaliths were moved and many other unsolved mysteries, which is a step in the right direction. On top of that Philip Corso claimed that he shared alien technology retrieved from crashes starting after World War II with corporations to develop modern technology, which would explain rapid development of computer technology and many other advances since then.

If this is close to the truth then it might provide a big enough incentive for them to participate in a massive cover-up; and they might want to disclose it carefully when it suits their own purposes, not ours; which might provide them with an incentive to arrange for a partial reform movement that almost looks like the real thing.

Whether or not there is an advanced intelligence influencing our society from the beginning there's no doubt that there are a small percentage of the public controlling powerful institutions including those that decide which political candidates get the media coverage they need to get elected as I pointed out in repeatedly including in Which version of the "Deep State" is the real thing?

I also previously speculated about the possibility that there might be some similarities between the Book of Revelations and current events in 2016 before Trump was elected in Yes Virginia There Is A Trump And Clinton Conspiracy but could it be related to a far-fetched Apocalypse Prophecy or a weak copy of it? which I indicated that it should be so absurd that this theory should fall apart, however, since then, instead of falling apart there has been one absurd activity after another that might make it more viable, including the outrageous behavior at the Al Smith dinner Trump defeating Hillary when it looked as if they were rigging it for her, and more.

Additional evidence of a self-fulfilling prophecy is being presented in Israel, as I covered in Evangelical belief in the Apocalypse, accurate or not, is shaping policy when Trump agreed to move the embassy to Jerusalem and recognize it as the capital of Israel, and his latest agreement to accept their annexing of the Golan Heights adds to this. But this still doesn't explain what their motive is and what they might gain by this insane charade.

There might not be adequate information to determine all of what they're trying to accomplish, but one possibility that I've considered is that they might be using us for research including for medical purposes as I explained in Researching Poor, Slaves, Prisoners, To Benefit Ruling Class With Alien Technology? and another possibility is that, if climate change is influenced by man, then it indicates that some degree of geoengineering is possible, intentional or not; if there's been an advanced intelligence influencing us it's more likely that it might be partly intentional as I explained in Hurricane Apocalypse Coming With or Without Fringe Conspiracy Theory. This of course seems like a wild conspiracy theory; however one of the biggest alleged UFO sightings was at Fatima where it was predicted five months ahead of time that something miraculous would happen on the thirteenth of the month until October when the biggest perceived miracle would happen.

There isn't complete agreement on all the details, but there were tens of thousands of people that showed up on the final month to witness what almost all of them considered a miraculous event including what they thought was the sun entering the atmosphere and bizarre weather activity. There's no way what they saw could have been the sun but researcher later came to the conclusion that it's far more likely that it was a UFO.

There's much more evidence of bizarre unexplained phenomena, including recent activities and many other going back hundreds if not thousands of years; however it's not taken seriously by the vast majority of the public, and in most cases, many people aren't even aware of it because the record of many of these unexplained mysteries are buried where few people look ignored by mainstream media or academics, and a large portion of it is mixed in with senseless drivel, that few people want to sort through.

But mixed in with some of that senseless drivel are legitimate unsolved mysteries that might have a major impact on our society, possibly even influencing current events, which often seems like senseless drivel too.

Ignoring these unsolved mysteries won't make them go away.

If that's the case then they might not want to provide disclosure about their activities until they're done with them assuming they ever expect to finish it. If they've opened a dialogue with some of the leaders of our country to obtain their cooperation they might have led them to believe that they're willing to allow disclosure at a certain point. Possibly, when they're satisfied with the research they've carried out and no longer need to use us on a massive scale for additional research. If so they might want to provide disclosure on a controlled basis so that people won't be so outraged that they take it out on the ones colluding with the aliens.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could conceivably be part of that, although I don't want to stop her when she's right on many issues; but there have been times, like when she voted for Pelosi that she showed she might be inclined to cave. She seems to have attracted a large number of followers from the grassroots, although that might not be entirely right. She rarely ever mentions that she previously had ties to Ted Kennedy and the same political establishment she usually seems to be standing up against. And once she won the nomination to the Democratic Party the media started giving her much more coverage which escalated even more after she was sworn in.

This isn't the first time they've had progressives that have managed to get elected to office at elections controlled at the grassroots, although it's extremely rare in statewide elections. Bernie Sanders is one of the other major exceptions, but the mainstream media didn't start giving him a significant amount of coverage until he spent years in the Senate. He's one of the only candidates representing the grassroots that actually gets any coverage at all, and when the primaries were rigged against him in 2016 he also got in line and endorsed Hillary Clinton without calling out the corruption at the polls. I doubt if he would cave on most of his policies if elected president, since his record for the most part is much better than other establishment politicians; however we have to be prepared to pressure everyone to keep their promises, even Bernie Sanders.

Having someone control the reform movement has some advantages, like cooling down people they think might be too outraged, like in Chris Hayes's town hall with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 03/29/2019 when she said, "Hey, hey, hey. That`s unacceptable. And that`s the difference between me and Trump." after the audience started hollering at Bob Inglis and one person called him a moron. Trying to minimize violence is certainly worthwhile, but if they try to do this without the reforms that are long overdue then there's little or no chance they'll succeed, and when she votes for someone like Pelosi that she should know is going to support Wall Street's agenda that's counterproductive. There's only so much she can do to prevent people from being outraged when even she's caving and only coming up with positive rhetoric when it suits the agenda of those controlling any changes that might be going on.

Even if there's nothing to this there's still an enormous amount of evidence to indicate that the highest controlling authority, whether it's corrupt politicians, aliens, or an advanced intelligence people refer to as God, isn't trying to honestly advise the public about the best ways to solve their problems and is giving tacit approval to what ever is happening. There's plenty of research available on any given subject in libraries, academic journals, alternative media or other sources to do a much better job than what the media is reporting or politicians are using to base their policies.

The longer we wait for major reform the more damage there is to the poorest people who are already seeing their lives destroyed, like in Flint Michigan which has been almost forgotten by the mainstream media, or Crystal City Texas which also had their own problems with polluted water without getting nearly as much attention and East Chicago Indiana, which has major problems with lead poisoning.

Whether it's because of alien influence on our development or not these environmental disasters are providing an enormous amount of research opportunities, and some of this research is actually being done but the results aren't being presented to the majority of the public. And we're polluting far more people than we need to for research purposes, as well, but if they were honest about it and only did research to people that agreed to it after understanding the risks there's no way any people would do so when it comes to the biggest sacrifices, so the only way they might be able to do it might be in an incredibly corrupt system like this where a group or powerful people make all the decisions and a minority of sincere researcher are allowed to do their work even though they can't present their findings to the majority of the public.

Potential experiments go much farther than damage done by a large variety of environmental disasters to how we deal with extreme weather, building structures in some areas that can stand up to disaster, not in other; space flight, computer technology, and much more. Whether or not this theory is true we need to have much more credible science education in the mass media, which means we need to enable those that actually want to do a good job to be involved in the decision making process.

If this science education proves that this theory doesn't make any sense, as many skeptics believe, fine; I'm not trying to recommend people believe claims that don't stand up to scrutiny.

However if that scientific research can't explain many unsolved mysteries including megaliths, UFOs or mystics, then rational scientific research requires considering different possibilities, even if some of them seem far-fetched at first.

And if some positive religious beliefs helps encourage people to adopt what they consider "Christian values" to help the poor and needy, I wouldn't want to discourage that; however, at some point, they may need to reconsider many of the flaws about their beliefs like why God didn't speak out far sooner to prevent countless disasters, when people were misinterpreting his objectives, assuming they were.

Edit 04/12/2019: Incredible amount of stupidity often comes out almost every day, if not every day; and an enormous portion of it is from people who have to know how idiotic it is, even if it's from Trump. This includes his latest claims that he's going to release immigrants in sanctuary cities, which is so extreme even he has to know how bad it is, assuming it isn't part of an insane charade. Even if he was that fanatical, the political establishment knows how to rig election for those they support or at least suppress those they don't, meaning he's in power with their support despite their efforts to act outraged.

The same goes for the arresting of Julian Assange for reasons that obviously make little or no sense at all, and even the mainstream media is reporting on some of the problems, although not all. He's being charged for reporting on atrocities that were leaked in 2010, not for leaking the E-mails in 2016. Those leaks exposed war crimes committed by the American government. The mainstream media is trying to gloss over this fact, but even they report some of the details and alternative media outlets are reporting on much more. The clear implication is that when the government commits war crimes they're acting as if this is perfectly legal, but if anyone reports on it exposing them they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This isn't new, of course, at least not to anyone accustomed to checking alternative media outlets; however this is just another reminder of that.

The entire affair forcing Assange to stay in the embassy for the past seven years has been clownish from the beginning, originally charging him with sexual assault in Sweden, but spending millions of dollars both for the police and for the Ecuadorean embassy to carry out this charade. If you accept this scenario, then they're making Assange out to be a hero, except to those that accept the incredibly bad spin from the government. To some degree I have to agree with Assange's defenders, there should be no doubt that people exposing atrocities or other kinds of fraud would be defended; and when they prosecute them they're providing a threat to all of us and the democratic establishment.

However, even though there's little doubt that Assange is far better than typical mainstream media reporters or pundits, I have had doubts about him as I pointed out in and update of Wanted unsuspecting research subjects when the Podesta E-mails were leaked a few hours after I posted this. He used a Friday night dump which normally is used to bury news when few people are paying attention, raising doubts about his tactics. But the bigger problem was that he held his leaks back several weeks, both with the Podesta leaks and the DNC leaks. This was especially important for the first ones, since if he had leaked them earlier there might have been a greater chance to nominate Bernie Sanders, after the primaries were rigged heavily in favor of Clinton despite her incredibly high disapproval ratings.

They're creating a sophisticated story that doesn't make sense for more reasons than I can go into, but one of the problems is that even though Assange is far better than other reporters he withheld the DNC E-mails when it could have made a difference, and even though Bernie Sanders is far better than other politicians he remained silent about epidemic levels of cheating during the primaries and bought into the Russia conspiracy theory without discussing how the mainstream media routinely does far more damage by only covering crooked politicians.

If Past is prologue, then they'll just come up with one absurd scandal after another that doesn't make any sense; however if it's all part of a massive charade then it could begin to make sense!
